More About Our Internet Broadcast

We're happy to offer our broadcast as streaming audio for the world to hear! This type of audio is called "streaming" because, unlike files that are copied from the Internet and then listened to, we send the live audio in a continuous stream. No files are left on your computer when you stop listening.  Some workplaces may block audio stream listening to conserve their Internet bandwidth and our stream cannot be heard in those workplaces.

How to Listen Online

To listen to KSGN on the Internet, you need a computer that is properly set up to receive and play the audio stream. Here's what is required:

1. Working sound card (hardware) installed in your computer.
2. Speakers or headphones connected to the "audio out" jack on your sound card.
3. Internet connection of good quality.

Sound Card & Speakers - If speakers are connected to your computer and you hear brief music when the computer starts, you probably have the necessary hardware installed and working. Most new computers come with sound hardware already installed.

Internet Connection - An Internet connection is required to listen to the live broadcast. Connections of 128kbps or higher are recommended, which includes DSL, Cable, T1, FIOS and ISDN Internet access.

If you use a MacIntosh computer - You will need QuickTime media player and Flip4Mac plug-in.

Also, please do the following in Firefox:

1. Open Firefox and go to Exceptions
2. Go to Preferences
3. Click on Content
4. With Block Pop Up Windows Checked click on allowed sites
5. Type in www.streamaudio.com and then click on "Allow"
6. Exit everything and try clicking on the "listen live" button again for the station again.
