INSPIRE’S 14th ANNUAL “MAKE A DIFFERENCE” EVENT

INSPIRE, the local Inland Empire non-profit that serves former foster and homeless youth throughout Southern California is hosting their 14th annual “Make A Difference” dinner and fundraiser on September 14th at the Riverside Convention Center.

Proceeds from the event fundraiser will be used to benefit at-risk youth within the community. Last year’s gala raised $88,000 – a mark which the organization hopes to surpass this year.

The event will run from 5:30 – 9:00pm - with an $85 per person ticket fee or $750 for a table of 10.

The event will feature stories from the Inspire youth, exciting live auction items and incredible raffle prizes. Inspire’s mission is to break the cycle of abuse and poverty through stable housing, education, training and mentorship of former foster and homeless youth. The program places an emphasis on education, requiring all youth 18-22 years old to attend college or vocational school, while providing housing and support while they are pursuing their education. Inspire has a total of 5 houses in the Inland Empire - located in Riverside, Corona and Eastvale.

The statistics for former foster youth are truly heartbreaking. Without organizations like Inspire and events like the “Make a Difference” fundraiser, these youth face uncertain futures - often filled with homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, a lack of education, substance and physical abuse.
