American Freedoms Lecture to feature religious liberty advocate

Holly Hollman, general counsel and associate executive director of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty in Washington D.C. will serve as featured speaker for La Sierra University’s 2017 Isaac Backus American Freedoms Lecture.

The talk will be held Tues., April 25 at 6 p.m. in Cossentine Hall 100.

Hollman’s talk, titled “Religious Liberty Challenges and Opportunities,” among other things will explain how American religious liberty is uniquely protected in the American legal system. The lecture is sponsored by La Sierra’s Department of History, Politics and Sociology, and the University Library.
