The Churches of Riverside & Today's Urban Renewal Network (TURN) invite you to the BLESS Riverside Prayer Service Sat, Sept.18 at 7am. For the 4th year in a row, 20+ churches in Riverside are coming together in united prayer for the city. Join them in prayer and worship side-by-side with brothers and sisters in Christ who also have a passion for seeing God's healing for the poor, brokenhearted, and hurting among us. Don't just talk about unity... be a PART of it! The Scripture for this year comes from Isaiah 60:1-3 The service includes praise and worship, several prayers led by local ministers, an extended time of focused prayer in small groups, declarations over the city, and a motivational message. When the church comes together in love and unity, walls of division come down and God is able to do so much more through us. The event is at Mt. Rubidoux in Riverside (92501); park at the San Andreas St. entrance to Mt. Rubidoux, near Tequesquite. Arrive by 7am to walk up Mt. Rubidoux. The River Christian Reformed Church Redlands invites women to the Beth Moore Live from the Windy City - Simulcast Sat, Sept.18 at 9:30am (doors at 8:30am). Beth will talk about how you are living proof of God's love. She will be speaking live from Chicago. Tickets are $20 and include boxed lunch from Panera Bread. What a wonderful day this will be! Sarah Hart (award-winning composer/songwriter: Better than a Hallelujah-recorded by Amy Grant, I will Testify, Sweet Redeemer, etc.) will be providing a concert full of music which is reflective as well as energetic and infusing her incredible musical gifts, energy, honesty, and humor into a night sure to touch many. She will also be doing workshops earlier in the day about the Ordinary life as Prayer and What we can do with our gift of the Spirit in addition to those provided by Jackie Francois-fellow presenter/musician who will give talks on the Theology of the Body-the true meaning of the human person, and going from Lukewarm to ON Fire; packages are available for two workshops, lunch, dinner and the concert or just the concert.
