West End Animal Shelter invites you to their Walk ‘n’ Wag-a-thon Sat, May 8, 9am-1pm. This event is to raise money for Save-A-Pet Rescue Fund and a future shelter/hospital. The shelter, established in 1954, is a non-profit, no kill center for pet placement and adoption center where approximately 200 homeless dogs and cats currently await placement. On average, the shelter is able to place over 800 animals annually. The Save-A-Pet Rescue Fund allows West End Animal Shelter to rescue adoptable dogs and cats from kill shelters and take them to a safe-haven until they have been adopted.
