The Riverside Relay for Life is an annual community-based fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. Our volunteer organizing committee has worked tirelessly to produce a fun, family-friendly event that raises funds for cancer research, patient services in our community, and on cancer prevention education.
Because cancer never sleeps Relay is an overnight, 24 hour event. Our 2014 theme is “PASSPORT TO A CURE”; teams will have their campsites decorated representing their chosen country.
Family friendly activities throughout the 24 hour event – kid’s camp, musical entertainment, raffles, gourmet food trucks, competitions, prizes, chili cook-off, dancing, and more.
After dark our Luminaria Ceremony honors people who have been touched by cancer and remembers loved one lost. Candles are lit inside bags bearing the name of someone touched by cancer; participants walk this lap in quite reflection.
Come out for some family fun and help us FINISH THE FIGHT!!
