President Obama traveling to Boston for interfaith prayer service

President Obama is planning to travel to Boston on Thursday morning to attend an interfaith service dedicated to those who were wounded or killed in Monday’s bombing near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Obama will speak at the interfaith service, which is scheduled to take place at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross at 11 a.m.

The White House confirmed the president’s attendance just as Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced it during a press conference in Boston.
